Fountain Park Church was founded as a church plant through a partnership involving Memorial Park Church, Pittsburgh Presbytery and Beaver-Butler Presbytery, to address the growing needs of the communities of Seven Fields, Cranberry, Mars, Adams, and surrounding communities. The church met as a core group with Organizing Pastor Barry Pintar from January until August 2002. The official launch was in September 2002.
In April of 2003, Pastor Barry Pintar followed God's leading to move to the southwest United States. The church was without a pastor until October 2003 when Pastor Terry Mann began his ministry here. As of the end of September 2006 Terry has also followed God’s leading and resigned his position. We are eager to see what God has in mind for Fountain Park's next chapter and it will be exciting to see and be part of His plan as it continues to unfold.
For the first three years, Fountain Park worshipped in an incredibly warm environment on the third floor of the 300 Building of Northpointe Center on Route 228. In the summer of 2005, through a series of events that still amaze those who were involved, the church was able to obtain the building formerly used by the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection on Peters Road in Cranberry Township, PA. After a whirlwind six week renovation project, in which the entire facility and property changed its appearance, Fountain Park was able to begin worship in the new Worship Center. In September 2005, Fountain Park moved into the new facility to continue our practice and vision of being a missional faith community in the communities where we are situated.
The latest chapter in the life of Fountain Park Church involves where we are today. On December 1st, 2008 our current pastor,Mark Plumb began his ministry with Fountain Park Church. Mark is very excited to be here and we are thrilled to have him as our pastor. We will together continue to follow God's lead for our faith community and willingly serve our community.
